ok, my head is spinning here lol. lots of stuff. i'm willing to bend in may ways about the specs, as long as it's zebra or double creme and 10k or a tad over i'm pretty sure i'm in. tremspaced would be nice so i can try it in one of my charvels but if it's not i can find another guitar to use it in. i love the EVH/78 pickup in my charvel and always wished it was a bit hotter so this could be the key for me!!

With the exception of the double cream vs zebra the rest seems pretty clear cut as of 12:45 on 12/22. Hopefully that continues to be the case as this should help keep things on course.

In the event this goes completely one way as far as trembucker or standard, what would the sound and physical difference be let's say of putting a trembucker in a standard Les Paul? Does it affect the sound at all or does it just look a little funny? And how bout the opposite.

Not sure if I'll actually want this pickup or not but my requests would be...
Std spacing on the poles
Scatter wound with say a 5.5k coil and the other one 4.5k
Double Cream bobbins w/Nickel cover
Wax potted
Short legs
A2 or A5 magnet is fine
Logo or no logo(Doesn't matter to me)
4 conductor wiring

Sorry, I changed my mind after you commented. The problem with my idea is: what if you put down your money, and the consensus specs end up being something you don't want? For example, if I paid up front, and everyone else voted for the vintage braided wire (not that they would, just an example) I'd be stuck with a pickup that's useless to me.
There has to be a compromise solution.

As stated before, I would like to see a run number or small engraving added to the pick-up to distinguish it as a forum 'project' rather than a custom shop model that could be ordered by anyone at anytime.
If I'm promising not to ever sell it new, it needs to be 'collectable'.

Well, there is that side to the question as well. Maybe we'd have to be able to see who voted what? I wonder if there's many people at the moment who've voted just for the sake of voting without really going to buy it. Maybe we should have a list of people who'll buy and then their wishes? Then we can count from that? A separate thread for posts only like that, no other discussion? And those only from people who are serious about buying, even if they're not yet sure? If the posts were made to look identical too it would be quite easy to read. An admin could post summaries once in a while too, right?
All that aside, has the thought on payment advanced? Like said, I'd be interested but I haven't got paypal and I'm not sure if it even works here. How about bank transfer? Does anybody know if there's some big problems/fees for overseas transfer?

Asking people to buy without establishing what they are buying is just not going to work. I wouldn't do it and I don't think many would. With the exception of cosmetics the votes seem pretty diefinitive. I don't think it matters if a few people who aren't buying voted.
