Thats the old H80. They fetch a pretty penny these days. Essentially Gibsons first attempt at a reissue 59.

Re: The Trooper

I noticed Dave's been using Les Pauls more often lately. I guess I'll find out in about a month when I see them in Austin!!!!

As will I!

I just hope Janick doesn't screw up Adrian's solos too bad. Janick has a place definitely in songwriting, but he seems to miss the ball live when doing dual-guitar leads. He just doesn't have the best timing.

Re: The Trooper

Yeah I wonder why they decided to have Janick play over Adrian's solos, it would be sweet if they were harmonizing but it's just the same thing but off. I love how now they can pull off 3 guitar harmonies though!

Re: The Trooper

When I seen Maiden last summer in addition to the Les Paul he also brought out a black Flying V for a song.

Re: The Trooper

Strange, he's typically playing a Strat, but Right on! I wish Adrian would pull out his Gold top Les Paul that he played back in the day every once in a while. That would be pretty badass.

Dave & Adrian are exceptional players. Love both their styles.

Up The Irons!

Re: The Trooper

You know.....Iron Maiden is the only band from the 80's covered head to toe in Spandex that everyone still thinks is cool! :D

Does Queen count? Sure, the glam was really only Freddie, but he was at least x4 the normal flamboyant (Elton John and David Bowie are more like x8).

Also, I Want To Break Free.

Damn, when I think about it, their heyday lasted two whole decades, the '70s and '80s (with the exception of Flash Gordon/Hot Space of course).

I would actually really like to see Queen and Iron Maiden in the same show, because one has a phenomenal frontman, and the other has Freddie. Both also have kickass music played by kickass musicians (Queen II and The Number of the Beast kick ass).

That goldtop actually is used quite a bit these days and is one of his main live guitars.
