What's your favourite restaurant in Boston?

What's your favourite beer?

What was your favorite cartoon when you were a kid?

I loved the Warner Bros. cartoons, most especially the Roadrunner vs. Coyote episodes. Those were the best -- watching Wile E. Coyote put together these crazy Rube Goldberg-esque contraptions using Acme products, spending all this time and energy hoping the next cockamamie scheme would work, only to have it fall apart and (usually) backfire on him. Cats may have nine lives, but Mr. Coyote had hundreds. How many times have we seen overhead shots of him falling off the edge of a cliff, crashing hundreds of feet below in a tiny puff? How many times have we seen a 2,000-lb. anvil teeter off a half-assed lever and onto his head? That's just comedy gold.

Looks like the cat's the one with the bleeding heart now. :)

Seriously, though, I do like cats. They're cute, furry little effers; I just can't pick 'em up or pet them, or else my eyes will puff out to the size of grapefruits.

Besides, Yoni, everyone knows there's a better way to do kill kittens. ;)

What's your favourite restaurant in Boston?

What's your favourite beer?

My favorite restaurant in Boston is Aujourd'hui, in the Four Seasons Hotel. It gets the highest marks from me for food, service and atmosphere. It's also extremely pricey. I've been there four or five times in my life, and always for a very special occasion. Sometimes it's nice just to see how the other half live.

My favorite beer is probably Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale. It's made by drunk Belgian monks who know their hops. If you've never tried it, stop reading this thread, find your local distributor, and buy a bottle. NOW! Then consume it with your favorite abbey-fresh fruitcake.

Have you always lived in Boston? If not, why did you chose it?

I don't live in Boston proper -- never have -- but I've always lived in Massachusetts (with the exception of one year when I lived in Nashua, New Hampshire, which is practically Massachusetts anyway). I spent the majority of my life in the town of Westborough, which is located in Central Mass, about 45 minutes west of Boston. Now I live about twenty or so minutes south of Boston.

Boston is a great city. The drivers may be real douche bags, but the city is old and has a great sense of community and history. If you've never been, come visit some autumn when they're done with the Big Dig. I'll show you Boston, Cambridge and Sommerville.

Boston rocks.

What do you do for a living, Keith?

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

Do you know how to use the "multiple quote" function? :laugh2:

Also, what the hell are you doing awake at 5am on a Sunday?

I pine away for rock stardom, mostly. As for doing something that actually pays the bills, I work in an IT department of a CAD software manufacturing company. The CAD software my company makes is pretty awesome. Doing work on the IT side -- helping departments like Marketing and Order Management understand and use their internal systems, and making those systems better suit their needs -- isn't nearly as interesting to me as I think using CAD software would be. I'd prefer to be working on the development end of things, but I'd need to have sharper skills in C programming, and that's definitely not my strong suit.

One career change I've given serious consideration is architecture. I've only recently entertained that notion, and I don't know if I could afford taking the time to go to school for it, then taking a big pay cut starting out in the field. It strikes me as a pretty competitive field, too. That's a bit daunting.

I've never used the multiple quote function. Perhaps now would be a good time to start. :)

What am I doing awake at 5:00 AM on a Sunday? You don't have a three-week-old in your house, do you? So what's your excuse? It's 3:00 AM now on the left coast.

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

Are you guys afraid to get to the nuts and bolts of what makes KG tick, or are you more interested in my hoodies and boxers? :)

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

Keith, what were your ambitions when you were younger, and what are they now?

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

I have 2 questions.

If you could go back and change one thing in your life what would it be?

and

Everyone has one guitar they let go of that they wish they would have never let get away. What is it?

It's 7:18 and I just got our 4 week old back to sleep. That's what I'm doing up this early.

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

Keith, What are your strengths and weaknesses as a guitar player/musician?

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

...The CAD software my company makes is pretty awesome...

May I ask what software that is? I work with CAD software 75% of my workday and we just switched to something new.

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

Do you have a favorite guitar cable?

It's 8:50, my wife woke me up over two hours ago when she left for work, and my kids have subsequently woke me up for real in the last hour or so. Now they want to eat. That's why I'm up.

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

Being a Boston man...

...Tea or Coffee?

Re: THE WELL: For Real This Time...I'm an Open Book

What is your "go to" guitar hero-impress the chics/punks at a guitar center lick/riff/move?
