Re: The Well IX

Not sure completely...how long ago did he buy it???

It ended up for sale in Atlanta and in fact I think it did get sold out of state...could be a small world!

Re: The Well IX

Name your 5 most wanted production guitars, of any era. So basically, this means you can't say "Blackie" but you can say "a seafoam 50's strat," or whatever your choices are.

Also name your 5 favorite amps.

Re: The Well IX

whats up TGWIF. If you could have fender/gibson/any other brands custom shop replicate any artists guitar for you to a tee....who would it be? or would you rather have your own guitar built to your exact specs? if its your own guitar then who would you want to make it?

this is assuming you get a once in a lifetime oppertunity freeby as it were.

Re: The Well IX

Like none really...sorry bro! It's the ony Strat I have these days and is actually gettin a good bit of use!

Just take my word for it...go get one and thank me later!

Even with the stock electronics it is a killer Strat...with a super nice set of pickups and a killer set up it's as good as or better than most every 57 reissue I've played!

What happened to the Hwy 1? Or was that Tele???

Re: The Well IX

C, you ever get rid of that dumbass whammy pedal yet? ROTF!

BTW, I missed your call today. It was balls out snowing when you called. I had my hands full on I-695 around Baltimore Rush hour traffic in the dam snow. :smack:

Ummm... 2002 or so?!?

My world is really fuzzy here... I love Pete...

But it all blends together.

That rekkid was released in 2003... so that means it was recorded in winter of 2002. I remember snow & ice...

Probably bought it earlier that year..?

He aquired it out of state but I forget if they were touring or he found it on-line...

Im not sure about geting a clone of a celeb axe...I mean a Pearly Gates/Billy G signature LP would be cool but it'd be more something I'd just look at that actually play and I don't buy guitars to look at.

Also, Im not much for designing my own guitars...fairly stock Fenders and Gibsons have always worked for me...

So, let's say this...if I could get any kind of one off axe built for me I would likely go for a completely correct 57 Futura and while I was at it i'd have Gibson throw in a 58 style V and Explorer!

My HW1 is a Tele...I did have another Strat recently...a nice MIJ 68 reissue that was lefty strung righty and I really liked it but the neck was very small and I just couldn't bond with it...I'll have another Strat or 2 down thte line but I just wasn't getting along with that lefty so I let it go...

No, still have the whammy...it does what it does better than anything else but you have to use it sparingly or you sound like Tom Morello.

No biggie BTW...I figured you were busy. No worries.

Naw brother...this one would have been sold in the mid/late 90's.

You have me curious now...Im gonna find out where that axe went to. Im tellin ya...I've played several other LP Artisians and they all had one thing in common...they weighted a metric ton...this one was real light!
