I have a direct link into the source of joy. It's breathtaking. I highly suggest you try it.:D

hows the air up there? ...do you believe in carbon dating? that various types of beings can coexist? that the earth is not here for humans to (over) use? they are kinda important building blocks for the time space continuum that I try to live in ;)

Adult Hillsongs
That's a new genre on me. I'm thinkin a lot of 1970s style wah?

Hmmm...I agree with the burnt out thing. Your current alternative preference(s)?

What are some of the coolest old school southern musical viewing experiences you've had?

1. :haha:
2. My focus lately has been on originals for the band. For the Sunday gigs, I really prefer when we play originals written by the leaders. We did the chorus of a tune this morning that the Master's Commission pastor wrote. Awesome tune.
3. I'm not sure what you mean. There was a really :cool3: gathering a couple of years ago. They used to do it annually during the Shrimp Festival. A group of musicians and families meet at a privately owned boathouse on the Delcambre Canal. The musicians swap out occasionally, but the music plays for several hours. Everything from classic rock to Cajun to country to pop to, yes, even Mustang Sally. A variety of singers participate.

Top notch entertainment. Good food. Friendly folks. What more could you want?

How hard do you rock when playing in church? How distorted do ya get?

Iffin you could share one cajun dish with the world as you prefer it, which would it be and gimme some details mang?

Our pastor has been known to say, "The guitars need more distortion." You be the judge.;)

We played this song this morning.

This was on the list last week.

I don't really cook. I like it all, but the tomato-based stuff is not preferable to me.

I have made blackened fish and shrimp, though.

Surprising fact (to outsiders): Cajuns like SPICY food. SPICY is not necessarily HOT. Most Cajun dishes are spiced with vegetables. The seasonings are just a shortcut.

"I don't feel guilty about my listening habits.

I really like listening to the Best of Bread when driving distance alone, though. Easy to sing along to and stay awake. Solid song structures."

I Love Bread, In fact I keep playing the intro to "Aubry" when I pick up my acustic now. I am excited to finally meet another fan.

There are a couple of Bread tunes that I play. "Make It With You" is a good one for torturing my wife.;)

Do you remember the episode of The Wonder Years where Kevin's girlfriend tells him she's getting him something super special for Christmas, and he racks his brain and tortures himself deciding what to get her? He ends up spending crazy money on some piece of jewelry, and her gift to him turns out to be "the new Bread album."

No, I don't remember the episode. Yet it's good that he expended so much effort trying to match the awesomeness of her gift to him.

Well, yep, that was kinda what I was expecting. When I think of Louisiana, all sorts of cool southern musical and culinary images spring to mind (and perhaps "Ring of Fire" experiences after too much Red-Eye Grits).

I'd love to spend some time there and catch some good music.

What would it take for you to stop posting those terrible jokes of yours?

Seriously. Name your price. Maybe I can take up a collection and have everyone on here chip in.

Let's see, the compensation would have to exceed the amount of pleasure derived from causing the inevitable reaction. Let's set the figure at $10M USD.
:lmao:
When was the last time you had a moment like this?

Can you name one single artist or band that we kids should listen to?

Can you elaborate on an experience you've had that you think others can learn from as well?

Re: The Well Part XXIV: Les Is More: Maniacal Musings of LesStrat

Is Les more?
