This is a NEAT little vintage amp...but $206 plus shipping???

Times have changed for those lil tube monsters, peeps love low watt toys with a bit of style. The prices started jumping a few years back.

I've seen people spend $700 for an OD pedal.

Old American tube audio will always have a fanbase.

You people are HIGH ON DRUGS.

You are arguing about $75 - $100 on the sale price of something THAT HAS EXISTED FOR 60 YEARS.

Anything that amplifies a guitar signal with tubes is worth about $100 - anything. It's just a baseline.

And anything in F*CKING IMMACULATE CONDITION THAT IS 60 YEARS OLD is worth that, too.

HALLELUJAH, HOLY SH*T, WHERES THE TYLENOL

I'm surprised it didn't go for more...

I'm with you. I might have started the auction at $500. In this economy it'd be a tough sell but I think it'd go if the right person saw it. That amp is a gem and I've seen skeletons go for more...no tubes or speaker. A few items in there look to be replacements but that's okay. It's older than I am by a couple of years and with care will still be working when I'm gone. Totally worth every penny. -Rod-

Wow. I guess not being in the market for stuff like this for a few years has me behind the times. It's just sad that everything cool winds up being a collector's item that eventually leaves the affordability level of the average Joe. I know that it's scarcity that causes it, but you know what I mean. Stuff like this used to be a cool, cheap little find.

Immortal, I'm not high on drugs, but yep, I think I'm reaching "old man" status. You know--"What? Five dollars for a box of cereal? When I was young, I walked to the market in five feet of snow for my mother and bought cereal for a dollar..." type of thing. :14:

I will agree with that, knowing how some people are about antiques. (I used to work as a photographer for an estate sales company.) However, I will say that I think $200 was a dumb price to pay for it.
