Re: Thots on the Analogman King of Tone?
To say the KoT is "nothing more than two Bluesbreaker pedals in one enclosure" is like saying Human Beings are nothing more than Chimpanzees because 96% of our DNA is the same. :cool2:
My experience with musicians, especially young guitar players, is that they want the best for cheap and they want it fast.
However, if a guy won't pay for the best, all he's going to get most of the time is two out of three: cheap and fast.
If this thing gives me what I'm looking for $235 is a small price to pay.
But then again, maybe you're right...we'll see after I've had it for a while.
I like what I've heard. However, the waiting time is retarded and the price as well. It's been shown to be nothing more than two bluesbreaker pedals in one enclosure with a very slight change to a cap and a couple of switches.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds great and I'm glad so many folks like it but when it ended-up being traced and shown to be a very slightly tweaked popular DIY build, I got a bit more unimpressed.
