Heel Whacker
tone4days' band - deny everything demo
this is the demo my band paid $300 for ... geezer rock covers at its ... err .. umm ... most unvarnished?
i play just about all the guitars you hear ... the little single note thing at the begining 'goodbye to you' and the two little lead bits in 'wild night' is the other guitarist, but otherwise it's all me for your listening .. umm .. err .. experience ...
i sing all the guy parts except 'the middle' which i do not sing at all on (dig the shyt falsetto on 'fav mistake'
)
music for people already drunk or well on their way
yup, you and/or your band and/or 'some guy you know' can do it better ...
all parts played with my SD A2P/JB loaded Brian Moore i88.13 through a Yamaha DG-Stomp direct to the computer ... not that any of those manufacturers deserve to be blamed for their contributions ...
lessons learned? insist on being present at mixing, especially if the bass player's friend is doing the mix ... insist on coming back another day for solos / overdubs and vocals after basic rhythm tracks are done instead of giving in to the rest of the folks and dragging the day out longer to 'just get them done' ... insist on playback of vocals instead of taking the engineer's word that it sounded good to him
so, i'm throwing it out there .. feel free to throw stuff back ..i got the chickenwire up
cheers
