treble rolloff with volume pot

So I just bought an 08 Elitist Casino... Someone had replaced the neck pickup with a Lollar... But what is weird and annoying is that the neck pickup only sounds normal (treble wise) at max volume... when I turn down the volume on the neck pickup the treble starts to roll off also (quickly)...

The bridge pickup does not do that...

I havent pulled any electronics and I truly hate working on hollow bodies..

But has anyone ever experienced this ? Any ideas of what it could be ?

If I had to take a wild guess I would say the capacitor is not soldered/attached between the neck vol/tone pots... or somehow it has come loose... or there simply is no capacitor ??

Most likely, low grade pots loading the pickup.

could be a crappy pot or could be wired differently than the bridge. flipping the wires on the volume control could help
