Re: Tribute to British Tone.

Awesome RID! You filled in some holes with the Selmers, Sound City, and Carlsboro. Bring on the pictures!!!

Forget about the 6L6 and 6V6 amps. We won't even hear you!!! The mids will cancel you out! LOL

Re: Tribute to British Tone.

Hehe:D
Gotta love that bark and woody response....duh I need to record that beast of a Carlsbro soon!
It is about the meanest huge amp I ever had heard, even my Hiwatt sounds docile next to it!
uh

Re: Tribute to British Tone.

Joe you suck!!! How do you think an amp addict is supposed to handle a thread like this?

Re: Tribute to British Tone.

WOW! but damn you guys, i play thru a pod xt..............

Re: Tribute to British Tone.

Well, I think Joe and Rid pretty much covered it....LOL. I'll put mine in here for good measure though. :)

80's Marshall Lead 12 (yes, it was made in the UK) and 1990 Marshall JCM900 MkIII 2100.
Edit: Forgot one, my Vox AD50.

Re: Tribute to British Tone.

1985 Marshall 4212 (2205 Circuit) Modded by Jeff Seal. PC boards removed and PTP wiring put in. Clean channel is based on a Fender Twin, and has a bright switch via pull switch. Overdrive channel is based off a Plexi when the gain control is kept in the approx 6 and under range, and then the drive sound of a 2204 kicks in when the gain control is over 6. There is also an additional gain stage available by pulling on the channel volume which takes it into TSL territory, but it's pretty damn noisey.

Cab is a 1960 with GT-75's

Re: Tribute to British Tone.

Scott, I'm glad you posted your Celtic Edana. I wanted that in this thread, because it's the most beautiful one.
