True bypass pedals suddenly popping like crazy!

...I´m kinda confused..

I recently bought a new pedalboard and a new powersupply. It´s really convenient in size etc, and for a while I was one happy camper.

But suddenly al of my pedals with true bypass have started to make a very loud ´pop´ when switched on. I don´t understand this, all the switches couldn´t have gone bad simultaneously. Could this be a matter of bad electricity?

My powersupply is a T-Rex Fuel Tank, and the chain of FX is Boss TU-2 -> Ibanez pt909 phaser -> Teese RMC3 Wah -> Barber Tone Press -> VoodooLab Sparkle Drive -> MI Audio Blues Pro -> MI Audio Tube Zone -> Xotic RC-Boost -> Line6 DM4.

So most effects are good in quality. Could the power supply be the one that causes this? Also, the wah makes a loud, low hum noise when on.. This is really annoying..

Re: True bypass pedals suddenly popping like crazy!

Most definate that it's your new power supply. I'm no expert but it sounds to me like your power supply is pushing more than the pull down resistors on your pedals inputs can handle. This would also cause a hum in your wah especially if the DC power jack isn't buffered at all or enough.

does switching (pups) on your guitar make the same pop? I ask, cause if there's some DC in your signal....

Hmm.. Those sound exactly like the problems I´m having. Is there any way I could fix the problem other than buying a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power power supply (which I knew I should have done in the first place) ?

No, the pup switching is quiet.
