@TheLivingDead: Dude...you should maybe try using them for about a week first. That's when I think they start to sound/feel their best.
I just love them....they're the only things I use these days. I actually find that they have a pretty soft (non abrasive) attack and produce a slightly darker fuller sound compared to the usual (red) JazzIII's.

yeah, they're great if you like the normal Jazz III's. Better grip, fuller sounding bass and more clarity than the black or red Jazz IIIs. Also, the ultex material is a bit harder than the plastic used in the black/red Jazz IIIs, so the ultex ones don't wear out and get a dull edge as fast as the plastic ones do.
Actually, the material that the Jazz III Red and the Black Stiffo is Nylon. I don't think you can dull out the edge on a nylon pick faster than Ultex. Actually in my experience it's the other way around. The Ultex dulls and smooth out faster than any nylon pick I've ever used. Compared to Dunlop's Tortex material, the Ultex is much brighter. The problem with picks that are made with a harder material like the Ultex is that when they wear, the edges becomes smoother and smoother and it will come to a point that the sound that it will produce will become dull and lifeless. The upside to this type of wear is that the pick will glide off the strings and make you play faster. Feels great but unless you're a hardcore Jazz musician that looks for that certain dull smoothness, sounds crap to me. It sounds like putting your guitar's tone control to 0. I noticed that many players always go for what feels best when it comes to picks, I always go for what sounds best for me and could care less about how it feels or what it's made of.
I've been using both Jazz III Max Grips and Tortex Jazz(both medium and heavy) The Max Grips have a fuller tone to me, but with the Tortex Jazz I seem to be able to play faster. All in all, I am a convert to the Jazz size picks. Going back to regular size picks seems cubersome.
