Vintage Modern...?

So...I've been digging the new Marshall amp that came out recently. Tried it out and it sounds great and its got awesome features, only prob? Price :( I've tried to search for any other kind of amp that gives the same vibe as the Marshall; vintage tone with modern features, save for better footswitches too :grumble: . Anybody got suggestions? Much is appreciated.

ORANGE...altho they're probably just as expensive as the Vintage-Modern.

The release of the new amps has lowered the prices of the older ones a little bit...maybe a DSL50 could make you happy...

Re: Vintage Modern...?

The Vintage Modern has the vintage Marshall tone alright, but awesome modern features ? It's a 100 Watt single channel head with effects loop.
I'm not sure if those feautures and that classic sound will go well with your SG droptuned to G and your POD, but that's a different story .. Please don't tell me you want to use the effects retrun to run your POD through !

The Vintage Modern isn't really that expensive and a great value for money for the no-nonsence guitarist. If you want one, wait for a while and save up. It's only € 10,- more expensive than a TSL head over here.

But I do suggest you'd try it first ! There's a reason why there's "vintage" in the name instead of "very, very metal".

Re: Vintage Modern...?

check out some older rivera kuckleheads. they should get you really close to the marshall sound for around $600 used?
