I once played a Stratocaster with a V neck that is my favorite. Unfortunately I don't recall what kind of Strat it was.
As far as I can tell today I am happy with just a perfect section of a circle.
For me, it would have to be:
- ESP Thin U - Very much home for me. I've had tons of LTD's, and they're always some of the comfiest guitars that fit my hand like a glove. Kinda like a Gibson 60's, just a bit narrower and perhaps a tiny bit thinner. Still not blade thin, but a very comfy and fast-feeling neck. Like the fretboard radius as well, and I love that they normally come with bigger frets.
I'd like one of those! The Specials come in hard tail
Yeah, I've noticed the Thin U varies sometimes. My old EC-1000 and EC-401 were made in the same factory a few years apart the necks felt different. I don't have them either right now to compare to my current EC-400VF, but I like the neck profile on the VF.I have an LTD ST213 with a Thin U neck that I really like but find it strange as it's not thin. My 2006 Fender Strat C shape is thinner. My Peavey Vandenberg has a very thin neck, thinner than that and you're left with only the fingerboard![]()
I used to not like the Wizard II. I kinda felt like it was really D-shaped with lots of shoulders and a flat back, but not all that thin, so it kinda felt like playing a plank of wood. But maybe I felt that way because I was playing the Wizard Prestige and Super Wizard at that time.Ibby Wizard necks. I love them all ..every variation I've tried has been excellent for the Shredz.

But I don't know if they changed anything for the Wizard III, but a friend who got one of those natural to blue horizontal fades that were in fashion a couple of years ago with the tortilla-looking wood tops, and I thought the neck was really fast and comfy. That was a great guitar, honestly. Go figure.
I had an S470 that had one of those Wizard II necks that I don't like.I think my S09 LTD-1 Sabre is the only axe I have w/ a Wizard II & it plays as well/fast as any of my other S's. Yeah it is probably a hair thicker but I hardly notice it to be honest ..it still feels super familiar to me and shreds like a mutha

On second thoughts my SA's may have Wizard II's as well...still play like butter![]()
