PRS is my fave on the list but it was just a gateway drug before I discovered Driskill.

i think Guild makes some pretty cool guitars especially that bluesbird model

i said gibson, but other than that i'd say fender make very reliable and indestructabe guitars

Gibson for tone and playability, Fender for longevity (you can beat the hell out of a strat and it keeps on going).

I love my bluesbird, but now guild is owned by fender and doesn't make the bluesbird anymore.

I am a tele man anyway, so i had to say fender as far as the poll goes. My next guitar is a tele but it is not made by fender, it will be better than any custom shop tele anyway.

Gibson, PRS, Fender, Martin. All equally great in their own rite.

I'd be satisfied if every guitar I owned was made by those 4 companies...Practically are.

I'll probably always own more fenders than any other brand, but I'm very impressed with PRS. I also like much of what Gibson does, though I find their pricing and quality control suspect. Those are the major ones for me.

But there are lots of great guitar manufacturers.

I think Ibanez makes good guitars for the money, although Fender will always be my #1 brand. =)

+1 to jacksons .. imo nothing can beat a jackson in neck comfortability, plus cool shapes, good worksmanship and reasonable prices in the middle line

A higher end Peavey or a GMP. Two guitar companies that pay close attention to how a guitar plays.

modded fenders, guitars are fairly simple and fenders are easy to mod. i put surfers in mine and wouldnt have anything else! They could use good fret levelings though
