Late teens was 1972 Gibson LP Deluxe ($275) which I traded for my 1968 Epiphone Casino. 1975 LP custom Black Beauty ($415), a Vantage ES335 copy ($100)(sold it), Guild Starfire ($90) which I traded for a 75 or 76 Ibanez doubleneck, the Jimmy Page copy. I could have bought a Gibson SG for $100 and even had it for a few days, but it was stolen and I couldn't bring myself to buy a stolen guitar. All I could think of was how crushed I'd be in any of my axes were lifted.
Amps were a variety of things with no name, a 64 or 65 Ampeg ReverbRocket II, and a Kustom 200 with 4X12. Had an MXR distortion + and a Univox Phaze 100.

Sweet! I loved those when they came out! never got to play one.
This guitar...Washburn A-20 (huge Quiet Riot fan), got it for Christmas in '83. And I had a Peavey Pacer 1x12 from about 1977. No pedals, just the overdrive on the amp, and it sounded pretty good. I think those are Dimarzios in the A-20, but not sure.

I had an Avon LP Copy I got for £50. It was awful but at 17 I was totally in love with it and used to stand it where I could look at it while I was going to sleep. My amp was a Selmer Treble and Bass 50w valve head through a homemade 2 x 12 cab. You could get Selmers in junk shops for next to nothing. They were impossible to overdrive so for my dirt sounds I used a Colorsound Tonebender. Young players today have it so much better.

the LP i still have into an 80W valvestate until the input's connection must have broken; i then bought a super twin which was sadly killed in a burgulary :disappoin
also had a russian big muff and a george dennis wah+ (which was also stolen), used to borrow pedals a lot.
hauling a super twin around isn't something i miss, although i loved the tone

Well, my late teens is ancient history. By the time I turned twenty in 1970, I had the following gear (with it's year of manufacture):

Late teens, I had an Ibanez AM-50 and a Peavey TKO and a Fender "real" Blackface Vibro Champ. At that time though, I had no idea what a treasure of an amp I had. I ran them both through my Ibanez CS-9 Stereo chorus and a DOD Overdrive Preamp. I wish I had it all back; except the Peavey.

I think I had my blue burst Guild X-79, a seafoam green Guild neck-thru Strat (can't recall the model name but it was a Jackson Soloist clone w/ EMGs) - and both had Kahlers. I also had a US Fender '62 re-issue Strat, complete w/ tweed case and all the goodies (gray solder-less guitar cord, strap, ash tray cover etc), but I was seriously considering modifying it w/ a Floyd and a humbucker pup... so I had to stop myself. I eventually sold it for a slight profit. Amp-wise; Peavey MX SS/tube head and speakers in the flight case... don't laugh... Nuno loved those cabinets (they had Scorpion speakers). At that time I had not too many FX; just a non-wall wart Cry Baby (I miss that one), EH Little Big Muff, EH Small Stone, Boss SD-1, DD-1 digital delay. BF-2 flanger, CH-2 (3?) chorus and a '65 Fender tube reverb that I used for extra "gerf".

... saw QR back in the day... must've been before Carlos was endorsing those Washburns I guess, because at the time when I saw him onstage he was mostly playing a black Schecter Tele.

I had a few things go thru my hands but numero uno was my Ibanez Iceman IC-50, the early ones with the 3x3 headstock with Bill Lawrence L-500's I also had a Dean E'Lite (now the Caddy) Blueburst, it was a gorgeous guitar with some issues but I wish I had bothof them back, especially that Ibanez it wasa very special guitar. I ran thru a Crate 65wt 1x12 that was actually quite good,don't remember the model? I also had a Kramer Duke bass, a custom Flying V bass and a GK rig - none of those do I ever want to see again.
