What is ( are) the Huge Glaring Hole(s) in your Guitar collection?

Rickenbacker 330-12 string and a 12 string acoustic, maybe a Taylor.

No Single cuts (tele or LP) and no acoustic. A decent somewhat small bodied acoustic would be absolutely awesome to have around the house and I would love to add an LP style or Tele style guitar in the near future. We'll see what happens.

A Gibson LP, preferably an 82(birth year). Then something off the path like a bouzouki and or a lute.

A set of fingers that can play them properly.

I have a pretty extensive collection that I have put together over the years. I have always considered myself as a Buyer not a seller.

I have 10 very good acoustics and a whole slew of electrics that I adore, but if I had to have one that I don't have it would be a Firebird 3 and a really good Guild 12 string acoustic. then I would have everything my little heart desires!

Gibson Les Paul, jazz box, 12 string (Benedetto would be nice), nylon string

Ok this is a little weird but I saw a Yes concert and the guitar player was useing a 6 string steel guitar type thing. With 6 strings that means he could do standard slide tunings like tuning to D or B to play slide tunings. So maybe a 2 neck lap steel guitar with both necks having only 6 strings so I can switch off between guitar and a couple of steel type slide units during a song.

I hate to type it but I think I could use a few more guitars without Floyds. Of my seven guitars only my Les Paul is Floydless.

Or maybe I should just Floyd the Paul? Nah.

I'm needing amplification, quite frankly. I have a humbucker guitar that needs putting together, a single-coil that plays fine...an oddball bass, a p/j bass I need to get out of storage...

Yea, no real amps though. I have an Epi Valve jr that's too loud to play for how good it sounds (that matters!), a Frontman 25g sitting next to it in storage, and I'm borrowing a Vox ad15V from a friend who's pretty much leaving it on indefinite loan. I don't have a real amp at all, and as much as I'd like to solve my dilemma with workarounds like pedals, cheaper modelers or sneaky VST stuff....they don't really fill that gap I guess. I feel like I don't have the "furniture", so I don't have a home for the music.
I've been thinking that a Mesa DC-5 may be the answer. Either that or a Carvin V3m. I dunno if it will happen any time soon. A bass amp wouldn't be unpleasant either.

This is pretty much where i'm at too. With the guitars I have i've pretty much got all the bases cover for what I want to play but a good amp is one thing that I really need.

Flying V. They seem to always have good tone too. Albert King to M Schenker. Even if I never play it it would be cool to have one.

I don't have an acoustic but the only ones I have found worth having or bonded with are old Gibsons from the 1940s. Can't afford them...

Re: What is ( are) the Huge Glaring Hole(s) in your Guitar collection?

No superstratty or pointy metal type things, but that's entirely intentional. I have zero interest in such things. On the other side of the spectrum, I don't need any jazz boats either. In addition to not playing jazz, they're too big for my elfin frame. So on either of the fringes, there's plenty not there, but not missed, either.

I could get some upgraded acoustics, but I play so little acoustic the fact that the ones I have aren't high quality is no biggie. At some point, I wouldn't mind a Jazzmaster, or a Firebird, but I'm not going crazy not having one. Same for some more Hamer USA, or Reverend. I used to have a Flying V, but it's not like I actively miss it.

The truth is I'm about out of room to store stuff. I have LPs and a batch of guitars with dual humbuckers, one an SG. A batch of P90 guitars, one with DeArmond 2000s, a few Teles (one with a standard neckbucker, one with a mini in the neck), and a Strat. Oh, and a P bass and a Jazz and a Thunderbird. Plus more than a few weirdos.

I'm good.

Hell, I'm even trying to sell one.

A PRS (or similar boutique level instrument), 3 Rickenbackers (bass, solid body, and semi), a *really good* acoustic... and the rest of the tools I need to start building my own designs from scratch.
