what sucks

Re: what sucks

Bad Cat Hot Cat. Goes to show you can't go off of reviews alone when purchasing some gear; I couldn't have been disappointed more. I've played $400 amps that blow that thing away in terms of tone or response.

Re: what sucks

ampeg 15 watt reverbrocket... reverb makes weird noise. i didnt no why i bought it. i think im starting to find a decent sound out of it tho

Re: what sucks

Peavey Rage 158
Boss MT-2
Boss PW-10 Wah

Now I'm a tad smarter and I think I've decreased the risk of that happening again. LOL

Re: what sucks

back around xmas i picked up a rocktron blackcat moan wah pedal on impulse.... and wasnt really that impressed with it... i must add that i'm not much of a wah guy though

Re: what sucks

I don't buy nothin that sucks! LOL I'm wracking my brain.......yep, it's all good stuff!

Life is too short to buy anything but the best.

Re: what sucks

Fender Mexican strat. Something went wrong with these sometime over the past 3 years. My buddy bought one in '99-2000 and it's smokin'. I bought one last week and returned it the next day, what a POS.

Line 6 PodXT, Vox Tonelab: Just never got used. I use my guitar port more.

Re: what sucks

I got a JB a number of months ago. I had owned one a few years before that and It didnt agree with me at all. I decided to get another one and give it a shot again since my Rig was totally different, my skills had improved, and everyone talks about what a great pickup it is. Personally, I just dont get it. To me I have played better stock buckers.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Re: what sucks

My first electric guitar and amp, an Epiphone Strat copy and Epi Studio 10 amp. Most worthless pieces of crap I've ever bought. The guitar isn't even worth burning. The amp is worse.

Re: what sucks

One of those teenie Marshall amp's, ya know, like jack blacks in school of rock, it was very cheap, and i thought i could have it next to my pc to play with, it was sorta ok for the 5 minutes that the batteries lasted, couldn't be bothered to ever find an adaptor or get a new battery.

Re: what sucks

Oh, and cheap no name cables, so many of them stopped working on me before i went to planet waves.

Re: what sucks

I never buy bad gear... I allways read a lot before I spend my money.

Re: what sucks

POD 2.0. I read the review online (I lived in a small town in Illinois at the time, so couldn't try one), and based on the reviews of this "revolutionary" new product, I ordered one.

I tried it through everything: computer speakers, stereo, headphones. It all sounded like mud to me. I was ready to send it back, and then I tried it front of my JC120. I found that it made a decent distortion pedal with a few good settings, so I decided to keep it.

Re: what sucks

Dunno if it sucks really cannot say it does, but I have had alot of gear that was the holy grails for some players, and I could live with it and make it sound useful, but I guess I like other stuff, but you can make most gear to work good.

Re: what sucks

The DiMarzio Evolution bridge. It was fun for a minute, but the longer I played it... yuck.

I also had one of those "coveted" Ovation electrics that Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age uses... hated it!

DigiTech stuff

That is EXACTLY what I was going to say,.... I have the RP 300, or what is left of it.... It crapped out EXACTLY at one year, besides it never really got the tones for which I was searching.... Wonder why? I also have the Metal Master, and while I can see its usefulness to others, it is but a paperweight for me... That and the HotRails.... It is a Hot pup, and was fun for a short while, but I hardly ever go to #5 anymore because of that! In fact, I am serously planning on re-installing my stock Single coil!!

Re: what sucks

I bought an Ibanez JEM555 (go ahead and laugh) that was a total flush.

- No sustain
- NEVER stayed in tune
- Too light
- Bridge required 1 hr. of maintenance for every 30 min of playing.
- Eventually the neck warped because the thin neck made of soft maple wasn't able to handle seasonal humidity changes.

I sold it at a loss of $400. :argh:
