There are so many options out there, so many great amps..... :yell:

For me I am in between a few:

Soldano SLO
Bogner XTC 101b Classic
Voodoo amps Hex
Marshall JCM 800
Straub amps
Fender deluxe reverb
Orange AD 30
http://www.gerlitzamps.com/
Rivera Fandango

I already have a plexi so I could take some of those out of the list......so I think...... :smack:

Re: what will be your next amp??

IDK, that's always been in my mind since I bought my Single Recto. All the tones and tightness I need for my dirt channel. So I'm thinking a clean amp. Even though the Recto's cleans are surprisingly good for a high-gain amplifier, I think the next amp for me is a LoneStar.

Re: what will be your next amp??

My next amp will be the Laney Tube Fusion 700 Head and a 400 watt B52 cab. i think this is a damn-good sounding combo.

Re: what will be your next amp??

It depends on what Mesa's new Stiletto sounds like.

I've already got the high gain Rectifier sound covered, so I'm looking for something EL34 bassed.

If I don't like the Stiletto, I'll probably start hunting down either a Marshall JCM800, or a boutique version of one.

have you gotten to try that yet? I have been itching to hear it!

ampeg b100r bass combo, ive had the money for it for who knows how long........just that my dad keeps putting stuff on the credit card and he only lets me use it when it has a zero balance.

I like high gain amps but I really not into it that much, but I've been thinking about a JCM 800 for a while. Do you know about any boutique JCM 800 like????

Re: what will be your next amp??

For me, and for a rock amp (head, already have a combo), I'll go with one of the following:

Bogner Extacy
Bogner Shiva
Splawn Pro Mod 50w Head

Although I really don't need anything else for rock and blues, those are on my wish list. If I want to go in a differdnt direction, probably:

Fender Blues Deluxe
Fender Blues Jr.
or maybe a Tweed.

Jeff Seal will do a dynamite job modding a JCM 800 to whatever specs you want. Fender like cleans and all the OD you can squeeze out of an amp.

Scott Splawn also does mods, and builds a Plexi like amp with 2 channels and a boost that is wicked as well. My signature show's which one I hve direct experience with, but I've heard the Splawn in action, and wicked is a good word.

Re: what will be your next amp??

considering the limited number of brands available locally, it's currently a four horse race:

Fender CS vibro-king.
Fender CS bassbreaker.
Fender reissue tweed bassman.
THD flexi 50.

I'd like to buy the flexi as a second amp. the fenders are options if I decide to move on from the vibrolux.

I'm also going to start hunting for a 60s ampeg jet or reverberocket. killer little amps for next to nothing.

Re: what will be your next amp??

most likely a 1987x plexi through an avatar 2x12 with gb12s that I plan on getting before hand but this isnt for a long time I will be using my marshall dsl 401 as a head and combo for a long time.

Re: what will be your next amp??

probably a Tone Shop creation of some sort. doesnt hurt, that i get em cheap. wait, i build em, too. hehe

germ

Re: what will be your next amp??

Well I just got my 5150 so I think a new amp is out of the question right now  Although I would like to get a Marshall next. I like the DSL and JCM 800 so one of those may be next.

I don't know any brand names. I've avoided doing the research since I know it'll give me GAS and I can't afford it right now.

I've been thinking I'd like the JCM800 (or clone) as a compliment to the Mesa dirt. I play mostly rhythm, but now that I'm learning lead, I'd like to have an amp that can cut more to A/B with.

Then again, since my rig is modular (rackmounted) I might just buy a 50/50 or another 2:100 and tube it with EL34's....

So many options.

I really should stay away from this topic. Amp talk gives me GAS. :saeek:

Re: what will be your next amp??

I'm looking at a few amps right now, probably settle on a Demeter now or just wait to get the new 50w 3-channel Suhr amp that's going to be revealed hopefully first quarter next year.

I'd have to say for the most part I'm very content with my Triamp, so it'll have to be something really special to make me part with it. Still, it doesn't hurt to see what's out there ;)

Re: what will be your next amp??

My new amp is the Rivera Knucklehead reverb 100. And matching cab.
Its on the ship as i speak, 10 days away!!!!! man the wait has been terrible!!

Fender 100w (Evil) Twin amp. I plan on getting some nice tubes for it and perhaps getting a pair of Eminence Red Coats for it (don't know shich ones though). This, plus a Tone Bone Classic should give me the OD I want with all th headroom I need.
