Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

Marshall, No other amp does it for me really. I said something to someone on msn last night that sums it up for me. In regards to the JCM800 "You hit the sweet spot on those babies and you'll be having multiple orgasms on stage"
Tone induced orgasm, Need I say more?

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe cause I think they sound good for the money. I really want a Matchless though. But I think most every amp company makes some great amps. I wish I could own a few of each brand.

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

Rivera, too damn versitle at a low(compared to others) price

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

i still wanna try a soldano for myself though... i really like the "soldano" sounds i get out of my guitar port :D (yeah i know that doesnt count, still wanna play a real one though)

If you feel the need you may post what your favorite amp brand is on here and explain why you like their amps so much. Hopefully this becomes a fun and interesting topic. PLEASE respect eachothers opinions so that arguements can be avoided. Thanks.

Call me a Traynor convert, with Mesa Boogie and Marshall running close second.

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

Dunno that I have one favorite. My Rivera edges out my Soldano as my #1 but Bogners seem mighty nice, too. Since none of those is on the list, I could honestly vote "Other". :)

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

i dont see ampeg.................i guess because they make bass amps and 95% of the people on here are guitar players.............

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

I voted others....
soldano are great but i can't them see in the list as i can'T see bogner, randall, diezel etc....

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

I vote Marshall but I love the sound of combined Marshall and Laney amps

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

Carr! Even though I staunchly support all my Line 6 stuff, Carr makes the best sounding thing around. Take your favorite Fender then refine it x's 3-you then have a Carr. Check 'em out at www.carramps.com

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

Fender, Soldano, Mesa, then Marshall (never was a big fan unless they were flapping my pant legs), Line 6, Rivera.....

Re: What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

i say hughes & kettner, theyre paving the way for the future, and the new warp head is a weapon of mass destruction :headbang:

you can't buy a bare bones marshall

DSL 401 - no effects, no amp modelling, no in built tuner, no gimmicks. just a loud, nice sounding amp :32:

1. Bogner Ecstasy 101B, because there has never been, nor will there ever be, a 100W tube head that can do what it does and sound better doing it. After owning a lot of really good amps, I can honestly say it's the best multichannel amp ever made. With all the right tubes, it can't be touched by any EL-34 amp. Basically, a boutique Marshall.

2. Late 60s/early 70's Point to Point Marshalls. THE BALLS!

3. Matchless Chieftain and DC-30. The best built amps on earth.
One look at the chassis, and you won't believe that humans would go to the extent
they go to, to build an amp.

4. Blackface Super Reverb. This fine example happens to be a first issue 63.

5. Vox AC-30, this one is one of the new handwired ones. Either Candy Panel early 60's or this one!
The 5 best amps, in my opinion.
