Whats your LIGHTEST guitar?

Never seen one of those that light. Most I have picked up have been closer to 8 LBS.Nice guitars.

According to this page, the average weight is 6.75lbs. So I guess I got lucky! It is my favorite guitar.

Traded into a 7lb 14oz Les Paul last night. Feels lighter than that.

I have no way to weigh it, but it is ultimately lighter than any other guitar I own. GFS Paulownia body, Fender neck, Wilkinson bridge, Seymour Duncan 59/SD Vintage pickups and Schaller strap locks.

My Parker MidiFly is around 4.5 lbs

I remember the first time that I ever picked up a Parker. I about slung it through the roof because it was so light. It blew my mind how light it was.

Squier CV50s alder Strat in "Flooded basement" natural finish - 3.1kg (~6.8lbs).


So basically it's lighter than my LP copy which has no hardware/pups/anything in it currently, just a body with a neck.
When I assemble that thing, I'll be sure to open a "What's your heaviest guitar" thread.

Maybe the Pacifica could be a tad lighter than the Strat since it's also alder but with a pool route, but it's not in "weigh-in ready" shape.

I've never thought to put any of them on a scale. My 7 and 6 strings are much lighter than my 4 and 5 string. I can wear either of those for hours no problem. So all the other guitars feel light as a feather.

PRS Korina McCarty. It’s under 7 lbs.

Friend of mine has a Korina Body Quilt top Custom 22 that is super light. PRS uses some really nice Korina as that one sounds amazing!

Just went and picked them all up. The Coffin Lid is the lightest. Mahogany body, go figure.

I know the Brad Paisley Tele (the silver one) weighed about 4.5 lbs, made of paulownia.

My bass player hates the Parker he calls it my **** you guitar. He says it sounds fantastic. But if we are playing something new and he gets lost he can not look at my neck to see where we are, no fret markers. So, **** you, you can't follow me. He offered to buy me fretboard stickers.

Lightest is a 1980 Burny. Faber Tone Lok bridge and Rio Grande BBQ. It’s around 7 lbs, nothing special. Heaviest is this 75 Ventura Ripper copy at 13.2lbs.
