When is a good time to get a new 57' reissue?

TODAY!!!!

Had to show some pics of the new "baby"! I tried out a dozen before I decided on this one, had to drive a couple of hundred miles between stores in Hollywood, Brea, San Diego and Riverside but it was worth the effort.

And what could only make having a new 57' Reissue golden beauty to play on even better?

Well a new 18 watt 1x12 combo amp to plug into! Goes without saying...

Yowza......Nice guitar and amp! I believe I have a 57' RI in bound as well. Fantastic guitars. I blew over to GC a little while ago and played a 57' through a Mesa Lonestar. Not usually a Mesa fan, but wow!.

Enjoy the new axe.

The more I play it the more I like it! Sounds like a mini plexi - the amp is basically an 18 watt marshall clone with some minor mods. I can finally play a club, get good tube overdrive and not have to worry about the volume. The amp loves pedals as well and with my a/b switch I can set up a good rythmn volume on the Tremolo channel, get the kick in volume for leads and crunch with the other channel and switch between them.

can't go wrong with a goldtop.... gibson has been raking in the cash the last few weeks by all you bastards and your '57s

Re: When is a good time to get a new 57' reissue?

sexy!!!

while we're at it, where in Riverside were you shopping for gibsons? Mike's Music doesn't sell anything more than a bunch of copies and some American strats, and I don't know of any other music stores in the area...
thanks,

Wild West guitars - 1546 7th Street - they have the largest selection of high end equipment I have ever seen. I've been there several times - they just let you play anything you want (Bakers (they still have a number of the Gene Baker made models), Suhr's, Gibson CS, Fender CS, PRS, GMP, Charvel's new stuff) and plug it into what you want (Bad Cat, Bogner, marshall, fender, Dr. Z, Vox, mojave). I took my amp, plugged every guitar into it I dared tryout (the Goldtop's they had were the least expensive gibson models) and played for a couple of hours with zero interruptions. Great store!

I've heard really great things about Wild West Guitars. I almost bought a Dean Hardtail from them, but it got sold before I had commited to pulling the trigger. Great bunch of guys, good customer service.
