Re: which color for my cabronita build?
Wow, you really got the building bug, eh ? That's great, it's really cool having serious input into your own instrument(s).
My vote would be for the copper red, but any of those colours would look great.
Please forgive me if you know this already, but any metallic colour will require a few clear coats on top (non-metallic colours can benefit from clear over the top too, but it's a must for metallics). Also you'll need to apply the metallic finish with random spray patterns, not straight lines ... I use a tight figure-eight pattern and move that around in a random fashion, but mindful of trying to keep an even thickness. The idea is to have the metallic particles land randomly so that they reflect light randomly rather than in 'bands' caused by straight-line spraying. After the final metallic coat, apply the first clear coat as soon as possible to prevent the surface particles from oxidising and appearing 'grey' later.
Not trying to sound overbearing or 'know-it-all', but i had to learn these things the long, hard way, so if it can help you get the best results possible, it's all good. If you already knew this stuff, please ignore it.
I think this one is gonna be very stylish. Clean and classy. Got a bridge pickup in mind ?
