Putting a "Mother-Of-Bowling-Ball" pick-guard on that thing would be like lining your driveway with flowers potted in old car tires painted white. Toss in a Gnome and some cheap plastic flamingos to complete the look.
That really turned out great. My first inclination was like Phil104's;that black would be best, but the Cream is definitely the best. Are you sure thats "Cream"..looks more like aged white. I don't think I'd like Cream on that guitar.Oh yeah, now i see it was cream..don't like it. Aged white for sure.
IMO, on an SG, pickup rings belong with a small pickguard. The only exception that I would consider is Triple Shots for P-Rails. The guitar in the photograph above has the look of a late Seventies Hondo II.
