Gibson historic necks are my favorite, and my R7 gold top is the best. It's a friggin 1/2 baseball bat.

That is also my opinion. Most necks on quality guitars are nice to play, and the importance of neck size should not be exaggerated. I like the slim taper neck of the early -60s Gibsons, but almost anything works for me.

Different stickers can have different glue. But most of these glues are properly removed with lighter fluid (cleaning gasoline). Don't breathe that stuff, BTW.
If lighter fluid doesn't do it for your glue, try allohol.
If the glue has damaged the surface of the guitar over the years, don't panic. Let it dry for a week or two. Then use buffing or maybe superfine sanding and then buffing and polishing. You should have enough paint thickness there to leave a solid color. If not, you jusst reliced it
also if anyone wants to be cool and tell me how to remove the sticker off hte guitar without damaging it or the guitar id appreciate it

Trumpet oil works great for removing sticker glue as well. I've used it numerous times with great results. The plus side is there is no nasty smell. Take off as much of the stick as you can then put the trumpet oil on the remaining glue, let it sit for a few minutes to soak in there then whipe off with a soft cloth (old white t-shirts work great).

Jackson's have some of the nicest necks for shredding and I love my DKMG neck, wide but thin, with huge frets. On the other end of thing I'm not a fan of epihone lp or sg necks. To thick and too much varnish to play fast. I've never tried Gibsons but I would assume they are the same?
