It's a cover of "Fire and Water" by Free

Re: Who wants to hear me fail at singing?

Totally masks lack of vocal ability if you double or triple track that sh!t.

Worked for me.

Worked for Ozzy.

Just saying.

Lack of range isn't really noticeable if you can track tightly.

Re: Who wants to hear me fail at singing?

I'm pretty sure I'm worse.

Is it processed much? I'd try all sorts of distressing, compression, overdrive, doubling, verb, etc. to see if something helps it out. Ever try the free camel crusher? It does some cool stuff to vocals.

Re: Who wants to hear me fail at singing?

well I like the guitars and that Free song! use the melodyne plugin to correct the pitchiness, its like $80

Re: Who wants to hear me fail at singing?

Add a little reverb, mix the vocals a bit higher. they're getting stepped on by the guitar.

Re: Who wants to hear me fail at singing?

I used melodyne to correct the pitch first round, then I would sing a second take along with the pitch-corrected take

the second take sounded way better, and I think I was learning how to be less pitchy

I would then make some edits with melodyne just like most studios would, just not too many otherwise it sounds processed

check out pensados place on melodyne, he has some tips on it on youtube
