Just wanna say "thanks" to Seymour for these. I dont care about the backstory and which guitar or when or whomever used them. They just flat out sound great, you could rock out on the bridge and do a BeBop gig no problem on the neck pickup with a proper amp. 50s wiring really makes this set incredibly versatile.
Ive had them in and out of a couple guitars over 10 months or so and in my #1 Les Paul they just may be the best humbucker set I have purchased. They pretty much do everything I want/need- they give me most of what I love about my T-top clones as well as characteristics I like from various modern PAF repros.. Most people here know I am a nitpicky bastard, but I really can't find anything negative to say about these. At one point I felt like they were starting to sound a bit harsh to my ears over time, but it turned out to be the insane bias drift issue with my DSL. :boggled:
Awesome stuff.
Everyone go buy a set.
