Why Aren't there More Female Guitar Players, Especially Electric?

Re: Why Aren't there More Female Guitar Players, Especially Electric?

I don't ignore them for a lack of "knowing their stuff".

I have a rule, for every ten off topic / derailment posts the TMRZoo guys post, I'll allow myself one, and I have a few more to spare yet.

How do you know they're off topic if they're on your ignore list?

What kind of rule is that? Especially when you should look in the mirror when it comes to thread derailments... Every thread that gets derailed around here seems to only have one common association: DreX.

Two reasons: 1) people who I don't ignore quote them, and 2) as I pointed out a few pages back, I'll post something and then suddenly they will reply en masse, a wall of white ignore boxes suddenly appears out of nowhere. If they were on posting "on topic", they wouldn't have chosen that moment to show up in the thread, it's not hard to deduce.

Fair enough.

This makes almost as much sense as doing the same thing over and over and over again while expecting different results.

Somebody quote this quote!

The only thing all your problems have in common is...you.

Maybe if you weren't spreading utter bs and heresay all the time, people might not jump your ass, constantly.

Can I create an account under your name and collect the prize? :jester:

Re: Why Aren't there More Female Guitar Players, Especially Electric?

Sure but it has to be cash on collection. ;)

Just for the record, I have never directly or indirectly insulted DreX. Like several others, I have put awkward or challenging questions that he prefers to sidestep rather than answer.

In a private social group, I have questioned Drex' true identity and apparent chumminess with the Admins. A senior Admin dropped in to the afore-mentioned private social group to assert that DreX is not the person "outed" back in December. No supporting evidence was offered.

Re: Why Aren't there More Female Guitar Players, Especially Electric?

OK, I don't want to mini-mod, but there's more posts ABOUT DreX here than there are FROM DreX. He didn't even post for quite a while and the posts about him continued for a while.

I'm far from a fan of DreX, but you guys aren't being any better than him by making every thread he posts in about him. Either correct him when he's wrong so people who don't know better won't get bad information or just ignore him.

Re: Why Aren't there More Female Guitar Players, Especially Electric?

If Drex wants to hang out with us at TMR, he should sign up. Maybe he can write a review and share some of that "useful knowledge" that he so rarely bestows upon the rest of us. Or, perhaps, he could try spitting his nonsense on a forum where the moderation team isn't afraid of removing a problem member to keep cohesion amongst the group.

Of course, he's probably too chicken**** to walk the way he talks.

Now, who isn't blocked by him that would like to be a doll and quote this for him?

(Side note: I was told by someone in the know that if we report his instigating posts, something will get done. You've got 20 pages worth to choose from so lets get to it)

He wouldn't survive. One correction, in the 13 years TMR has been an entity there hasn't been a single infraction handed out or banning of a forum member. DreX would not be banned, once the members made it clear he was not wanted around he would leave on his own.

Exactly. I'm just as tired of seeing walls of deleted posts insulting DreX as I am tired of constant thread derailments. My two complaints are very closely related. I'm not sympathizing with DreX though.

If someone's really tired of ANY user, don't reply to them, and let them talk to their self. They'll leave you alone then.
