Wishlist for the New Year

Wattage

High Voltologist
So I have been on a long dry streak gearwise this year hopefully that'll turnaround soon. What you boys looking at on the horizon?

Still got to move my ESP but maybe at some point this year I can re-load.

First I am jonesing to finish up the '86 CS Melody Maker I got from JMoose. Re-doing it Pelham Blue with a 3-ply BWB guard and custom wound pup from PoorMan. Then the rest of the bench time will go towards finally getting my '62LP/SG Custom together, a lofty goal but I think I can do it.

Soon as I get a few things taken care of I am hunting down a nice Junior or Special, I am kicking myself that I sold my Special a few years back but really I guess I want a Junior. That old one was my ace, RIP.

Ampwise the Windsor is fine but a Peavey XXX or the Satch model head and an upgraded 4x12 would be great too.

Not being greedy, my LP is fantastic but I love guitars and would like to feel well-armed again

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

Fender Strat. i'd love to have a guitar with single coils. I'm getting kinda bored with humbuckers.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

To the top-hat-wearing baby representing 2010, here's what I hope you'll bring my way:
  • an Explorer (in the generic sense, at least)
  • a new wah pedal (It's all about tone.)
  • a new tuner
  • a couple more pedals
  • a bass head (Is an SVT-3 Pro asking too much?)
  • That's it. Now get to work. It's not too late to stuff you back in.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

expensive tattoo about 1-2k and a computer and some software for recordingz about 1-1.5k ...prayingz...

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

my wishlist:

a moogerfooger or two
a Les Paul VOS with a plain top (flames don't do it for me, why pay more just for pretty?)
An AC15HW vox
An RSGuitarworks upgrade kit for said LP
A set of duncan antiquity HBs

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

My wishlist is simple : to go into a store in the next week and find a guitar that ''speaks'' to me, as I don't have a backup for gigs. I don't care what it is as long as we connect.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

Scott, If I can help with the SG....... just ask! As long as I can do it early in the Eve. I'm good, I don't have the stamina to do the 3 in the morning anymore! Haha

As far as gear... I really don't want or need anything. My guitars are all in good shape and my amps as well. I have 3 pedalboards all set up to work with my amps so I am good!

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

Wattage, did you put the Eclipse up on Ebay? I know their fees suck and all but I've been seeing the Eclipse guitars (the white ones in particular) moving on there........for more than what you're asking here.

The only thing on my wishlist is a Mesa Dual Recto.....and I need to sell my LTD EC1000 and Line6 HD147 head in order to make that happen.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

Before I go after anything on my wish list I have a bunch of stuff to move first. After that, here's what I'm looking at...

Gibson Les Paul Traditional
-OR-
Carvin CS4

Overdrive pedal

New Wah pedal

New amp (maybe)

A lot of this is also dependent on our financial situation improving.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

1. Gibson Explorer in Alpine white, not that cream white that fades and looks yellow.
2. Gibson Les Paul Custom w/50's neck burl-top and factory installed duncan SH-6's
3. Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier half stack.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

When i can spare the cash... Pickups to replace the EMG Hz ones in my LTD Viper 301.

The rest of it depends on how my tastes go. I wouldn't mind a 1x12 valve combo, a tele, a strat, a semi hollow etc but not out of necessity.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

I wouldn't mind selling swapping necks on my tele, ditching the thin neck and putting a fattie on there. I also want a TC Nova Delay.

Other than that, I don't need anything. I just need to form or join another band. I'm pretty sick of being idle......it was due to massive depression and anxiety from having my life destroyed by US Immigration and the IRS. I got treated so unfairly by our govt. I could write a book about it. Now, it's time to get back on the horse.

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

My wish is not to sell any of my gear or trade it for some GAS attack. But an old cherry double cut LP Jr would be nice .

Re: Wishlist for the New Year

A MIM Tele in Lake Placid Blue (not particular about the fretboard, but rosewood would be a nice contrast from my other two).

A Duncan tapped Quarter Pound Tele bridge pickup

A Warmoth Esquire pickguard, white.

Don't worry about putting them all together, I can handle that.
