I dont care what anybody says, I bet thats how Fenders custom shop does it also!!!! :laugh2: :laugh2:

Drag it behind a truck for 30 yards and charge $600 more for it.

If anyone needs a guitar reliced, I am now in business and I am accepting work. I will relic a guitar for $50 and you pay shipping!!!

Oh yeah, and that doesn't look natural at all. It's kinda like a bad hairpiece or a boob job gone wrong. Everyone knows it looks hideous, but no one has the heart to say it to the owner.

Theodie,

Your relicing method wouldn't also happen to consist of pulling a guitar down a paved or gravel road with your car would it? ;) :lmao: :wall: :)

You get your choice of asphalt, concrete, or gravel. In the future I am also considering offering customers the option of what kind of gravel. :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Bubb Rubb needs to take a bullet and make the world a better place.

Of course I feel the same way about motorcycles with loud pipes as well...

Relic the thing by playing the hell out of it for years.

My friend's uncle worked for fender, and he said all the people who work there love getting relic orders. They hang the guitar up and hit it repeatedly with belt buckles.

Dragging the guitar seems like a bad idea... if something goes wrong and the guitar breaks, **** what happens then?

Re: Would you pay someone to this? LP Guys Warning!! Not for the faint of heart!

And here I thought MY LP Custom looked bad. Guess I've got some more dragging to do!

Re: Would you pay someone to this? LP Guys Warning!! Not for the faint of heart!

Doesn't fender have some sort of gun that shoots quarters at the body?

heck, put the missing knob back on it and i'd play it...would i pay to have it done...nope, i don't think so...i can relic a guitar myself if i wanted to. although i tend to like relic strats and teles more than relic LPs for some reason. although zakk wylde's relic beer cap covered rebel is one kick ass guitar IMO!

I like that one more than the bullseye one. It is awesome.

They have that, a Sub-Z and hi-temp rooms that work for finish checking, and a room full of little old Mexican ladies with chains to beat the guitars. There's also some "specialized" tools for simluating specific wear types as well.
