Time for another daydreaming thread.

Hypo-thetical, here. You know how big guitar companies will sometimes "sponsor" an up-and-coming band by furnishing all their instruments for a tour, or for a certain period of time, with the stipulation that every time they appear in concert, in public, on a magazine cover, in any kind of published photograph with a guitar, it has to be of that brand?

What would your brand be? Forsaking all others, you put your trust in one company to provide every instrument -- guitar or bass, 'lectric or 'coustic -- for the remainder of your natural (or unnatural) life.

What's it gonna be, chicken-boy?

Note that this is not a poll. I don't want to put names into anyone's mouth or exclude anyone.

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Fender, because I just cannot do without a P-Bass...or an Esquire...or a Stratocaster. Plus I could never agree not to play my Musicmaster Bass or my '59 Strat in public. I love Gibsons, but I could do without them as a part of "my sound" if it came down to picking sides.

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Gibson Guitars... I wouldn't mind a nice ES 330 and I need an SGs w/ P90s...

Fender Amps... if we are talking amp brands....

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Ibanez was going to do this with me about 2 years ago. It was going to be Jet Kings exclusively.

I wanted them to build a hollow one, it doesnt work out.

this comes out.

No question Jackson USA.
I would sit down in a pow-wow with their top master luthiers and work out a Kelly based oiled ebony board 5A flamed top Mike Learn custom graphics artwork 5000.00 guitar.

Fender - for everything. Telecasters are a big part of my sound. So are turned up Fender tube amps. I love the krangy-grind of a Tele through a pushed Fender amp!

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Fender! I already use a strat and a drri, but I wouldn't mind a CS strat and a wall of 4 Vibro-Kings.

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Probably Fender. Love their amps and I play a strat almost exclusively. I'd have to do something about an acoustic, though. None of theirs sound good to me.

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

For guitars, I'd have to go with Fender. There isn't anything I can't do with a Strat or a Tele.

Don't know if I could function with their amps though. I needs my EL34s!

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Probably Music Man, although if I could get Fender to make me custom creations, I'd be very happy. Fender for amps too.

Re: Your Exclusive Guitar Contract

Depends, who's paying the most? Give me something with a neck humbucker, a solid or semi-hollow body and some free money and I'd be set.

If I had to choose I'd say Fender, only because they have some nice amps and I play my tele more than anything else.
