Zakk Wylde tone witha passive ?

Dont have a clue how to get it with passives. The guitar is a single hum Fender Strat, the amp a Crate GT1200, 120wtt, 3ch 1/2 stack.Any feedback would be great. :smack:

The BEST way, IMO, to get the Zakk tone with a passive pup is to use the Bare Knuckle Miracle Man ... I'm just about to order one for my Kami 4, actually. Can't wait!!

sorry for the triple post

a lot of his sound comes from double tracking i think. i can get really close by getting an agressive marshall kinda tone and double tracking it. thats how his pinch harmonics sound so huge as well

Meh. Even if Bare Knuckle is taking a bite from SD, everyone who makes bladed pups is taking a bite from Joe Barden, who invented the design. Barden never patented the design because he feels no one can reproduce the exact sound he gets hand-winding the pups ... and so far, I have found that to be true.

I've heard the Bare Knucle pups, but have never played with one, yet. I still intended on buying a Miracle Man for my Kami, tho. As for the cost, you also have to undertand that VAT is added, so US customers get something like a 17.5% discount immediately (Nuntius can tell us the current rate for VAT ), plus he'll ship to the US for FREE.

I was trying to get close to Zakk's tone myself. I put dd in my bridge and got my hands on the Dunlop pedal he uses. Real close now.
