To be fair, The Clash, Buzzcoks, etc. were the second wave of Punk.

The American Hardcore that came afterward: Black Flag, Minor Threat, DOA, etc., were technically third-wave.

In the broad context they were. In a smaller context Black flag, Minor Threat, DOA, ect were also the first wave of American Hardcore. Then came Emotional Hardcore... then came Emo.

I don't feel like digging up some trash punk music (which is probably very difficult to find ). I could probably ask my friend who is a "punk", but meh. Poison sucks...even most hair metal fans agree.

I tell all the people I know about these young, young kids on the guitar forums who are totally into Hair Metal and every one of them is so surprised. We worked so hard to destroy it, didn't we? It's like the freaking cat that keeps coming back...
