Do you outsource the paint jobs or do them yourself because that is mint. Looks like 2pac.

Thanks mate, I do them myself and yeah it's 2K - got the binding on today ready for more clear tomorrow, I moved away from paint as it's not very good for ya and got into oil finishes for a while, I outsourced a couple of jobs and I wasn't happy with the results so back to spraying them myself again

I ended up outsourcing this project since it was out of my league. I'm pretty excited about it *nonetheless! I'll be doing the electronics for it.

The single Strat pickup would work IF you used a Duncan Quarter pound tapped,or a Hot Rails.. if not, it would be a preposterous idea IMO.
            Oh rly??

Other way around, actually. You can cut a tele neck down to fit a strat pocket, but a strat neck is too short for a proper fit in a tele pocket.

That is awesome! Someday I hope to do an acoustic build.

And I love Adirondak, best sounding tops IMO.

                    Um... No.

A strat neck is NOT too short to fit in the neck pocket of a Tele. There would be gaps at the corners of the pocket (which would be covered by the fretboard extension on a 22 fret neck) but it would fit perfectly.

A Tele neck won't fit in a vintage-spec Strat neck pocket because the corners of the pocket are rounded off and the center of the heel can't hit the center of the pocket. A modern spec Strat pocket isn't rounded the same and can take a Tele neck but you'd have to modify the pickguard.

You'd have to modify the heel or the pocket to fit a Tele neck in a Strat pocket. You can use a Strat neck in a Tele pocket without any FUNCTIONAL issues but with some possible cosmetic issuees.

                      DAMN!
For you, Kramer, that is downright CONVENTIONAL!
I like it a lot. The range must be scary.

                      2 questions...
                      What is the scale length?
Do you need dots or some kind of mark on the 24th fret? I'd get lost up there rather quickly.

                      Love that neck-through.
Is the crescent wrench SAE or metric?

Pretty sure it's a route for the neck pickup leads. It's definitely ice man inspired, but I think Ibanez named the body as a "Fireman". One of Paul Gilbert's sig guitars.

Yeah I am referring to those very gaps.

Im of the "make it snug" school of thought.

And that being the case, a tele neck heel CAN be cut DOWN to fit a strat pocket well (been there done that)...because its the one with extra material

Although yeah after that its not gonna be a proper tele neck ever again, so from a reversibility standpoint its the other way around

The heel of this neck is Strat shaped. I figured it would fit in a Tele if I ever wanted and a properly cut pick guard would cover the gaps.
