Are you a Tele/Strat/LP/SG/PRS/... guy gal?

Re: Are you a Tele/Strat/LP/SG/PRS/... guy gal?

I play too disticlty diffrent kinds of music, and although i do love the strat for my blues stuff, i just think my carvin CT6(cheaper PRS) is better suited for me

I love my Brian Moore i2. But other than that, I like Schecters quite a bit. I'm definitely a fan of mahogany bodied guitars with a tune-o-matic bridge and dual humbuckers. I also prefer a set neck. But Les Pauls are a bit classic sounding and sometimes too heavy or the neck is too thick.

I have a couple of Strats and Gibsons, but I'm a Tele player at heart -- much to my surprise, as it was a fairly late discovery, remedied 6 times over at this point.

i would go with double fat strat. Strat is my fave shape, but i dont like single coils. Strats yes strat all the way

Re: Are you a Tele/Strat/LP/SG/PRS/... guy gal?

For the time being I'm a Telecaster guy. Albeit is a dual humbucker Tele with mahogany body and maple cap, but it's still a Telecaster. The G&L Legacy just arrived at my girlfriend's office so who knows, I may be a Strat guy from here on out.

Re: Are you a Tele/Strat/LP/SG/PRS/... guy gal?

I'd use my Artist in a studio, but at a gig with my band I'd rather play my dual-HB Strat. It doesn't sound as good but it's more comfortable and versatile. However, if I could sit while playing and/or I had to play alone where the audience can hear my tone better, I'd take the Artist.

Wow, another resurrection; this thing just doesn't stop :D The funny thing is everytime it's resurrected, I feel differently about a guitar, talk about change ;)

The only guitars I really find myself gravitating towards are Teles and my Gibson RI 0 Les Paul Special DC. I like simplicity: a 3 way switch is enough for me and I dig the sound of p90s in a nice fat slab of mahogany. It's thick, it gets some jangle and has balls at the same time. Tele's may not have quite the midrange push, but the bridge has balls, the middle gets jangle and the neck can get some nice bluesy tones.

I'm sick of fancy tops, crazy inlays, crazy switching schemes and anything that has smaller sized necks.
