I'm drunk posting, and I see alot of guitars and accessories and I love to see some sweet guitars, but I also like seeing some sweet basses too. I guess because I am a bass player lol. So bass brothers show your $h*t proudly. Guitar bro's don't get mad thanks!
I love basses can really ever have enough......I say NO!

Ok Bass_Medic, I'll play along so long as you can forgive my small humble bass rig. Certainly nothing compared to yours, but I have a LOT of fun with this one bass and amp!

that's my bass, the one I use if i have to play bass live or something. it's just a squier vintage mod, but it's surprisingly decent.

Hey nice rig set up.....how do you like the Phil Jones? I heard one being played thru at Bass Central a few weeks back, it sounded tough as $h*t.

Thanks man. The bass plays really well and the amp sounds how I want and plenty loud to boot, which is great considering what I paid. That said, I'd love a '64 Jazz or a '70s Ricky 4001. Your collection is the cat's ass man!

I thought about getting a "Rumble Kat", I'm a big mark for Allen Woody.

Until she learns to play bass and understand the tonal nuances of different basses and especially different scale length necks, she'll never understand why you have so many. But I understand! I say it's a beautiful big collection that just the right size!

Re: Bass Players Unite show your Gear!

As much as I love the guitar for years I played and recorded as a bass player.

It's gone now but during that time this was my main bass,(image pulled from web):

AlembicBass.jpg

I used a variety of amps depending on where I was playing.
For larger shows my main rig was an AB 1000 amp,Rocktron preamp,Boss eq,Boss foot pedal chorus and a couple of custom made JBL cabs.

Smaller shows it varied depending on the size of the venue.

By the end I was using a Zoom mutli effects unit with a built in pre amp that I would just run through the board.

I haven't owned a bass in about 10 years but plan on either building one or picking up a bare bones Ibanez that I saw recently.

Nice Alembic "Stanley Clarke", and rig set up. It's good to hear you are going to pick up playing bass again too.

Black '74 Precision, shaved frets and refinished neck,
modified with Wilkinson 5-string kit
(bridge, 5-slot graphite nut and string tree holding the D).
This is the first bass I ever bought.

'77 Gibson Les Paul Triumph (my main)

'03 MIM Jazz (stock); Xmas gift. It's a bar-band beater, but it works

Ampeg BA-112, with hi/mid/low tone, direct and headphone outs, and
5-position mid center frequency varitone switch; swapped the factory
speaker for an Eminence 12" with a whizzer cone... cleaner highs.
It's a US made St. Louis Music model, before they went to Asia.

(Google screen grab)

My big rig was a mid-70's SVT head through an Acoustic Control 106,
twin 15's with aluminum dust caps. A beast. No car to haul it these days, so I sold it.
When I make the chedda, I'm looking for a 4-10 with maybe a solid state 300+ watts/4Ω.
