Old School Teardrop style Tobacco Burst would be the best. But everyone needs a Gold Top.

Just want to make sure everyone understands I'm not talking about the "Les Paul Classic" mode, but rather colors that are classic on that guitar...lol... sorry if there has been confusion.

I gotta admit, I was expecting either Goldtop or Honeyburst to battle it out for the victory. I'm surprised, in a good way, to see Cherry there.

For me, the goal is all the above. I've got most of the good ones like Gold, Black, Honeyburst flame, and Lightburst flame. Next, I want an ES-339 in Antique Vintage Sunburst or Antique Red.

I like two types of finishes.....classic translucent flametops for Gibsons and PRS's, and metallic finishes for Fenders, and I love my metallic red SG......and black is always good too. I'll just be honest....I love killer finishes on Gibsons, PRS, and Fender.....classic guitars I love.

Light or Ice Burst... Honey is also Okay. Mainly on plain tops.

Not sure if it's a "classic" but I like the Amber finish as well.


Cherry Burst usually looks a little too much on Les Pauls...

Wine red, hands down. It's the best colour Gibson ever used. Looks good on a Les Paul, better on an SG (think Angus in the early 80's) and best on a ES.

They're all fantastic really, but if I ultimately chose wine red.

I have a new found love for ebony as I've realized they can look really cool since getting my Sheraton II

My favorite is Goldtop, but I do like all the finishes except ebony and white.

From a similar guitar, I love the Dragonburst Carvin uses...

I dig wine red on a flame top. I don't like gold hardware on wine though and that's usually what you see 90% of the time. Nickel for a Standard and black on a custom.

Women dig wine red, and some of us know that so we dig wine red cos it attracts women. It's either a wine red guitar or a Hello Kitty guitar.
