chorus but which one ?

hi

i want a true and beautiful chorus
analog one

MXR analog chorus vs neo clone vs ibanez ? vs mxr micro chorus
i think it's complicated to have multi chorus in one box

i don't know
for example, i like the chorus of my micro cube Roland
or must i buy a flanger because it has chorus?

If you enjoy the built-in Chorus effect of your Roland amplifier, why not get a BOSS pedal?

IMO, the very best analogue chorus effect remains the Roland Dimension D. The BOSS Dimension C, Digital Dimension and CE-20 pedals do acceptable imitations. If none of the options suits, you probably did not need chorus to begin with.

Because BOSS are not the best (i think) it's digital when others are analog and expensive
i haven't played with Boss chorus
just Octaver and micro cube

your advice is finding old pedal ?

i talked to man to buy an ibanez chorus or Maxon but no answers

a hard work and when you listen to chorus the sellers put some headphones for you

2 effects are better than just one :)

Boss Dimension is what I model on my POD HD. I know modelers aren't 100% just like the boxes, but that's where I would start.

the ears !!
and experience not to have pedals who make " a dirty sound" to your "beautiful sound"
so a good buffer or true bypass
and a good sound

some digital chorus have less "body"
they are not warm and make us a "dirty sound" to our "beautiful sound"

so, i don't want that (line M9, ZOOM ms 50g > exit) whereas some T rex, MXR and EHX models are very good

Okay, just checked: it's analog. I guess that means I can recommend it here? It's the little Malekko one. Not a ton of adjustability, but give me too many knobs and I'll just screw something up anyway. This one just kinda always sounds good, no matter what I do to it. IIRC, I think I paid about $115 for it new.

I've played through plenty of digital effects that had all the things you're looking for, and plenty of analog ones that didn't. Digital ≠ Bad; just like Analog ≠ Good. Starting out by completely disregarding a huge swath of choices, based on (if you'll forgive me for saying so) what seems like nothing more than a parroting of a caricature of guitar Old Nerd's Tales is doing yourself a great disservice.

Go play through some pedals, without bothering to learn too much about them beforehand. Find out what you like before you get too mired down in what you think you SHOULD like.

Case in point, the BOSS CE-2 and CE-3 Chorus pedals from the Eighties.

Both fully analogue. Both, ostensibly, the same circuitry inside except that the CE-3 has some extra stuff added to divide the signal up in an attempt to achieve fake stereo. Whatever BOSS added to the circuit detracted slightly from the finished effect. People have been known to modify the CE-3 pedal back to CE-2 specs.

Additionally, both pedals hiss like complete mofos.

Finally, to my way of thinking, "dirt", overload, saturation, clipping, harmonic discolouration, call it what you will, is fundamental to Rock music. Software designers are bending over backwards to simulate the less-than-perfect fidelity of analogue tape in convenient plug-in form for yo' chosen DAW. Just try to imagine the piano of Jerry Lee Lewis or the drumming of Keith Moon without tape overload artefacts. Without such filth, The Stooges would have been no fun. "The Rumble" would have meant Diddley squat.

I use that little Ibanez Sound Tank pedal. It's a throwback to when I was in high school and had a crush on one of the girls' basketball players.

there are some good digital units for modulations if you want: T rex, EHX and Marshall
but the others i tried (line 6 and ZOOm) were very very bad and maybe the corona chorus too
i like warm and beautiful sounds maybe like in the 80's
whereas
line 6 and zoom products
bring "colors " to your sound and the sound was too much digital for my ears
and like many others, i like pretty transparent effects

so, spending one day with new strings and with a good amp in a shop is the solution :)
because youtube videos can help you but it's not the reality except what Brett Kingman does? lol

Maxon - ASC10 is very good

yes
i read boss dimension or ce 2, ce 3 are very good : old analog pedals
but ibanez/maxon is a great deal too

i will try the visual sound liquid chorus
i can have this one

the attraction is strong
but i don't know how it sounds
