Is it still good for Thrash? Super tight and chugga chugga without a damn cocked-wah?

Totally true, man. Personally I generally hate clean tones from a bridge pickup and very rarely use them but lately I've been using the C8 for clean more and more. It's really warm and it's never too brittle and ice-picky.
Also true about the versatility. Every time I try it with different EQ and amounts of gain I think I've found the perfect settings for it. Then I roll off the gain and hear it sing on some old Zeppelin licks and love that tone just as much. Crank it up and start firing out powerchords and punk rhythms and hear that roar and never want to turn the gain down again. It's the most responsive damn thing I've ever played/felt in my life.
It's truly an outstanding pickup.
Output wise it is slightly louder, which is okay, still doesn't overpower my 59A4. The Custom8 is a definitely a keeper, much tighter than the Custom5, great for metal and anything really.
Welcome to the Exclusive Club of the Lt. Kojak Set!![]()
You've been selling the Lt. Kojak set pretty hard, I had a feeling I would end up with these mags. Here are some sloppy riffs I recorded with a cheap mic, and it's only right channel for some reason. Still trying to figure out my whole recording setup but considering the limitations it sounds pretty sweet, check out the Custom 8 riffage.
dude i love your mic job. really good, i had to hear it in stereo so i ran your clip into my program and cropped the clip and panned it. sounds killer!
cant wait to hear it like that naturally. that XXX sounds really nice too. underrated metal amp.
I hate heavy metal, but I play classic rock, Rock, hard rock, grunge and alt rock. Would the C8 work?

for all those who are wondering about the Custom 8 metal ability's! wow myself again.
this is about as brutal as any pickup can be yet it retains clarity!
