Dean Evo Special Select 12 Tone Wiring Question

Hi,

I have a Dean Evo Special Select (Les Paul type) guitar. It has 2 humbuckers each with 4 wires, 1 master volume, 1 master tone, a 3-way toggle PUP selector, and two 3-position DPDT mini switches that the previous owner installed for individual coilsplitting of each pickup. I want to change it up a bit, and I'm also pretty sure the previous guy who worked on it screwed something up (the colored wires from each pickup are wired the same way to each mini-switch by color, despite the pickups being from Gibson and GFS who have different color codes for their wires). I might add I am not comfortable adding in any more mini switches or wanting to buy new pull-pots.

What I want to be able to do is have one mini switch be a master series/coilsplit/parallel switch that would affect both pickups and the other mini switch be a phase reversal switch for either pickup to put it out of phase with the other when in middle pickup position, effectively creating (I think) 12 different tones. The trouble is, I don't know if that's even possible (mainly the master series/coilsplit/parallel switch) and I haven't been able to find any diagrams that show how to do this. Can anyone point me to one or give any tips on how to do this?

If it's not possible, I'd be fine with each mini switch being a series/coilsplit/parallel switch for each pickup, which I am pretty sure is very doable. If this is my best bet, which diagram is the one you would choose?

Thanks!

if you want to do a series/split/parallel for each humbucker.. do this.. the wiring code is for seymour duncan but everything is clearly labeled.. so it should be no problem converting it to another color code

not possible to do what you ask i believe.. for a master parallel/series switch.. that would require atleast a 3PDT ... not 100% for sure but i think im right

Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused though, as the diagram you attached that you said uses SD colors has SS as red and SF as green, but this webpage from Seymour Duncan says that SS is green and SF is red. Where did you find that diagram?

well then i made a mistake then.,.. i found it in my head as i draw my own.. search for post by me and you will find atleast 30 examples of custom drawings that people have requested .. 1 month i felt like a machine i did so many LOL true story..

i spliced that pic from an old drawing i had an redid the colors to match SD.. the colors are in the right place but i had since changed the labeling a tad and did not pay attention/forgot i made such a change...

just drew this up from scratch which I should of done originally.. you can clearly see the label change as well as some minor changes in the drawing of the 'pup in this one, which is the style all my drawings use now aday..

Thanks, I think I'll just go with two of those, one for each pickup and leave out the phase reversal.

yea.. i wired up a guitar with 2 of these plus a push/pull that is a bridge always-on.. eventually im going to change it to a neck always-on though and add a switch to put 'pups in series with each other
