Dimebucker, invader, or something else?

Hey, Im doing this project for school (yes, really), I am putting a bridge pickup in a Schecter A-1. I play metal/hard/classic rock and I seriously hate JB's so help me out here, what 'bucker should I use.

I do not like the Invader or the Dimebucker for classic rock!!! They will both do metal and "maybe" hard rock????? Personally I do not like the Dime for anything!!!!!!!!! My suggestion is the Custom!!! It will do all 3 just as good as any Duncan!!!!!

BTW, I am a JB hater also!!!!!!!!

Well lets see here.

You have the JB, a paperweight w/ a wire tail attached.

You have the Dimebucker, the only pickup I've heard make a guitar sound like a pissed off weedeater

You have the invader which I've only had limited experience w/ but what little I did have, was about as thick as mud.


With what your asking, I would either go w/ the CC or C5

or

Get a really low output "clean" pickup like the 59, Jazz, Pearly Gates and a few stompboxes to achieve your desired tones.

I think alot of people in general put too much faith in the pickups in thinking that a pickup swap is going to break down walls of new tones for them. Whilst changing pickups will get you some new tones, it's also better to keep in mind how your new pickups will compliment your setup(amps/effect) best.

I really think the Custom or the Custom 5 will be your best bet for all of the styles you want to cover!!

ESP not when you consider that the price doubles the second the pickups are shipped outside the US.

That's right, whinos. A 70$ SD costs between 130 and 215 bucks here!!!
