5 Teles, 2 Strats, and none of the Teles will be leaving. I still can't quite get with the Strats for some reason. The only guitar that competes with my Teles for playing time is my Gibson ES-137 since the Seth Lovers went in it.

but im still wondering about an Esquire too......I figured that would fit me better since I almost never use a neck pickup

What do you guys think? Esquire or Tele? I play mostly punk/metal :newangel:

But who knows maybe Ill like the neck pickup?

That's funny, I didn't really pay attention to these overall tele infatuation on the forum (or did I unconsciously). But having always so far avoided fender (for a mysterious reason that I can't explain), I felt attracted at the idea of trying a tele.
Than I saw the Esquire on Fender's site and thought this guitar ought to be nice playing. After a thread i've seen a few days ago about sustain and neck pick up, I would fancy playing a one pup guitar...

But I'm so far from buying one as I am putting my money in my LP make over... that will be cool too, but still... I gotta try one soon! :32: :32: :32:

Nooo... just when I managed to kill my gas for a Tele, you launched this thread... :yell:
I want one badly now, LOL... :32:

you mean cosmetics? cuz if so, i'd say having another tone beast is more important than having a pretty guitar

i prefer teles with '59s over LP's anyways

When I bought my first tele it really changed my whole way of playing!
What kind of changes are you talking about?

Re: Do we have a tele celebration?

Peterku...sorry, I just had to start it after all these post ;)

And it seems like teles are a quite attractive subject to talk about nowadays, the posts just keep coming. It's nice to read what all you guys think of the workhorse guitar that's been around quite a while :)

Interesting is also that metalheads and nu-metal guys like to play teles and that it seem to gain ground in new musical genres. It's quite over 50 years old now and I'm not suprised if it'll be on the market for fifty more. Man, it's a great guitar!
