For $15K you can ....

That is pretty cool-looking, TBH.

Not that I have 15K to spare, nor do I like Metallica all that much, really.

Not a Metalica fan but if I were to go the Kirk guitar route I would go with the ESP

I'm not a huge fan of the SV shape they have for us in this continent, personally

But yeah, I think I rather have an ESP/Edwards/Navigator V than a Gibson.

I guess they couldn't locate enough Kahler tremolos to release a Jim Martin signature V.

Seriously, out of Kirk and Jim, who REALLY has the V association.

Not asking that as a question because we all know it's Jim.

Maybe, but Kirk's name certainly sells more.

Well, to be fair, you got a point. Kirk's band has like what? 20 records? Out of which like 3 are good, LOL. And those came out like 30 years ago.

They do sell, though. Doesn't take a marketing PhD to know, LOL.

Don't know about Faith No More to compare, TBH. Not a style of music I'm into.

Between this and the Adam Jones LP there's a couple decent used cars worth of guitar

I feel like it's more James sound that dominates the era this axe is aimed at, Kirk had fun licks but I'd take a Het sig over this!

I couldn't spend $15,000 on a custom shop/production guitar even if I won that billion dollar lottery..... just on principle alone.

I'm with Securb...I'd MUCH rather have one of the new ESP LTD KH-V models.

Just 2 things holding me back:

1) The stupid pickguard

2) No sparkle purple option

Hey - If Metallica is what kicked you in the @$$ in the early 80's, and you have the cash...go for it.

I will point out that my Ace Frehley Budokan...which is way more "aged" and a Les Paul Custom, not a regular Flying V, with some crazy parts like the tuners....only 1/2 as much.

Remove the logo and put that in a pawnshop with a price tag of $150 and I probably wouldn't even bother to pick it up
