Nobody loves SG's more than I do, I have a few of them, but this is pushing the boundaries perhaps a bit more than they should be. I can't see these being big sellers to anyone but a few burnt-out Dead fans.

You know, I've been trying to get them to make a Super SG (HSS with P-90's, and a 5-way switch), which would have a market, and they come out with this & the 'Reverse V' which have no chance of ever being anything more than long-forgotten novelties. Have they implemented a random drug testing program at Gibson yet? From the world's leader in electric guitar design in the 1950's, to this, another chapter in "The circus comes to town."

because thru a big muff into a full stack

it doesn't matter what kinda wood it is

especially if it's rainbow

Clapton had a rainbow SG through some stacks at one point and it didn't look half as fugly as these.

I've been smoking for 17 straight hours in an attempt to make these guitars work for me.

Sadly, they still look dreadful...however, my carpet has turned into a dragon and is attempting to eat the cat, so all is not lost.

...On one had I think we need to be more open (I'm including myself), on the other I can't see how the heck that thing is supposed to sound good. I'm willing to try one, tough. I'm just hoping nobody sees me doing it lol

Clapton had a rainbow SG through some stacks at one point and it didn't look half as fugly as these.

If that was paint, maybe I'd like it. But as far as I know birch isnt a tonewood- and multi ply birch on a guitar? Hell no.

i bet the people who were in their 40's and 50's when the original SGs were being produced said similar things
