most people cannot accurately tell how the cabinet is wired up just by looking at it from opening the back up, regardless of what info. is posted on the speakers themselves. There are different possibilities of impedances depending upon how the speakers are wired and what speakers are in the cabinet. Best bet is to determine what speakers you have and their impedance and then study a wiring diagram and compare the way your speakers are wired to the diagram. Ive seen soem bizzare things before, and yes, you need an ohm meter. They are fairly cheap and if you do this at all you need to invest in one and learn how to use it. It isnt rocket science , because if it was I never would have been able to do it, and I learned how to use the meter for pickups and speakers and cabinets.
