Yeah, that strat is gorgeous!
Not much to tell: it's a GMP, probably alder body / maple neck but I'm not certain, the pups are the usual Duncan Custom Custom / '59 set, it seems both bigger and thicker than a Gibby, and per usual with GMPs it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

Thanks, yeah I like Cornford amps... the Mk50 (Black one) is my favorite of this 2. Just pure raunchy valve tone!
Note to all, sorry about the big pics, I did try my best to reduce the size of the pics but to no avail, still learning how to use the pc to post pics etc. Anyway, sorry for the long post!!:doh:

Oh, it's not your fault. Just that people posting replies to longer posts need to realize that they can edit the pictures out, so everybody doesn't have to scroll through the same pictures 2 times. It's a waste of space, and just not necessary.

It's a Washburn EC-36, they were made in Japan for a couple of years in the late 80s / early 90s timeframe. There were two other models at 26-fret EC-26 (very rare apparently) and a 29-fret EC-29. These models were also known as Atlantis / Spitfire / Challenger. To me it's most similar to a Jackson Soloist and I'd say that it compares very favorably to one in terms of quality and playability. Very nice player and definitely a quality guitar. If it's your sort of thing I'd definitely recommend picking one up to try out for a while.
I paid $700 for that one in good playable shape but with a few dings down to the wood on the sides & back and one partially stripped fine tuner screw on the trem. Based on what I've seen that's a bit on the low side though a couple of people have told me they can buy these all day for $300-400 ... but when I offered to double their money on every one they produced none showed up. YMMV
I have waaaaay too much gear. It's been accumulating here since the early 80s and seems to come and go almost constantly though obviously a bit more comes than goes. I keep meaning to move some out but when you've spent a lot of years moving out things you like less for things you like more you do eventually reach a point where it all seems pretty cool.
