Help me pick a color.... serious help requested

This new Fenderish thing I've got going needs some facepaint to go with her new clothes. This is a pic of the cab. It's got the black mesa/gibson wrinkle tolex (matchless look) with a matching wine red front panel, gold piping.

My color choices for the front and back panels are hovering around black or gold. Do any of you have any other suggestions that might work. Knob color and style as well if you want to comment. Thanks.:banana:

i think gold would be good, but im not sure what knobs to go with that.

on the other hand, black with those Fender cream barrel knobs would be quite cool.

I agree with you ... black panels/ gold letters, maybe cream knobs to pop out a little. Black knobs would be cool too, but I think most people like to see the knobs contrast against the background color

just keep it simple and tasty -- the colors you've got are working well, IMO

dark charcoal panels might also work

I think what you have in the pic looks very cool. I'd go with black panels front and black. Black knobs.

Being a bit experiemental here with amp colors, I kinda like the blonde scheme. Just thinking out loud for a moment perhaps a navy blue or sage could be fun.

Gold face plate, black lettering and black chicken head knobs.

I would go with a cream colored faceplate and chickenheads that matched the wine colored tolex.

I'd go with gold panel, black lettering, and gold Mesa-style knurled knobs. And put a big fat red jewel light on there!

You could do some variation of the Plexi look (on the faceplate only).

Translucent gold plexi look with black knobs and an golden center.

Black lettering on the bottom under the knobs - so you can read them!

I like this one the best... but I was thinking that something red in there would be cool. I get so tired of everything being black and gold. When I see something in a bright color it's like a breath of fresh air. But that's just me. If red is just too much, then I would definitely go for the wine/cream combination.

Dude that cab is literally the same as this one below. I like it!!!! I post this only to give you an idea of what it will look like with the white chicken heads. That is gorgeous man!!!

for some reason...the first thought that came to my head was white...with black chickenheads...not sure that would look the best, but thats what I pictured..

Otherwise I'd go with a maroon/wine red plate with black chicken heads and gold lettering...

I like this one too. Maybe use some maroon lines like the blue ones on SF fender amps.

bronze/gold-ish faceplate that matches the piping, which would be sweet. with some form of knobs that are painted (or whatever needs to be done) the same color as the tolex. i think the faceplate would really accent the overall look. and the knobs would contrast nicely on the gold. but i'm no fashion designer so do whatever floats your boat
