I will. I have worked this out with my mother. We sat down and checked out my economy and my average wage with my new job. It can all run around without problems.

I will post reviews etc.

And can we please now drop this issue? I have heard all of you guys advice, and I totally appreciate it, I really do. But my decision is final :) And I hope you respect it :)

Well, then, go for it. Just be careful with your credit. BTW, I love the look of the Sykes, black with chrome, that's why I have an Orville version of it, never was that fond of gold hardware. FWIW, I could afford one, but can't justify it.

Well, you've got good taste, I'll give you that, but wow, that price tag makes me throw up just a little in my mouth. But if you can swing it, more power to ya!!!

I've taken out finance for both of my guitars and one of my amps. I get it paid off rather quickly, as money allows, and have never had any problems. That being said, between two guitars and two amps I have only spent about 3200$ on gear in total.

Trust me, there are better ways to get where you want to be with this guitar.

If I was to spend that amount of money I would make sure that it is a guitar that raises in value. That means I'd probably buy an actual vintage piece, or maybe a new "normal" custom shop for $3500.

Why not see whether you can get a 1978 black beauty?

I had a 1975 Les Paul Custom and I honestly don't get that exited about it. Of course I could resell it pretty well.

Anyway, I think that you $6500 guitar loses 35% of the value the moment you get out the door. A 57 reissue Custom Shop LP Custom or similar loses 10%. A 1978 Les Paul Custom raises 10% by next year.

Get it insured! Your parents insurance WILL NOT COVER IT. That is a lot of money to loose if it gets swiped or you have a fire etc.

Exactly!!! And if you take it anywhere, get a chain around your case and wrist like they do briefcases full of money!!

Most of all... Good luck and more power to you! If you are in a position to make a DREAM come true, then do it!!! You only get so many opportunities in life to fulfill dreams.. My advice to you is to keep it at ANY cost to hand down to your kids. It should NEVER be an option to sell or pawn it once you meet a lady and fall in love, get married. Ive had to do this. This is your dream, and will have a rich story and the story can continue..
I cant wait for your review!!!!

I love the look! I loved my Edwards Sykes and cant wait to replace it..

Not only do i encourage you to get this guitar, but I would suggest that you commemorate this event with a tattoo on your neck or fingers and hands.

Seriously...you're making regrettable decisions...why not go all-out? Don't patsy around about it. Get in there and prove what we all have known and suspected since day one.

Hey....at least the stress of figuring out a career path will be done and over with. Start practicing asking if they do, indeed, want to Super-size that for just a dollar more!

Of course, you could wait for some time, NOT take a loan, and by a couple guitars with the money saved (Perhaps Edwards Sykes LP's :D).

What ever you do, just remember this:..................................Post pics! :D
And seriously, think about saving instead of taking 6 fookin grands loan from yer bank. I think it'll be your parents who take the loan, cause the bank won't let you do it.

I know here if your under 18 (maybe even 21) or have no credit someone has to cosign the lease (your parents). How much is it going to cost your after interest? I am positive that the $6500 price tag will be way higher than that in the end.

That's what I was wondering.
So, how long will it take for the guitar to appreciate in value to the price one actually paid?
