Re: Mesa Rectifiers
I read somewhere the amp will be +/- $750'ish. (USD)
Not to bad, i'spose.

I read somewhere that was the "dealers cost" and saw them selling for 1k on the Sweetwater Website.
beat me to it.![]()
Thanks for all the info guys.
I've been checking out Mesa Amps and I dig the high gain of the Recto's but had no clue what I needed to go with. With all the info you guys have given me, I am thinking the Dual 3 channel is the one for me. Now the hard part, waiting for a killer deal to pop up on one.
As for cabs, I've read that the Mesa's don't sound that great unless they are ran through the matching cab and that the cabs are voiced just for the amp. Is this just the model speakers used or because of the half open back design? I was planning on just using my Marshall 1960A with V30's and G12-75's.
Personally, I don't how either one of my rectifier amps sound through the V30 Recto cab. I've been thinking about swapping them out and putting either C90's or EVM's in it.
You havn't tried either one through the Mesa cab? How come?
......How can I know if I don't like how they sound through the cab if I've never played them through it?
Ouch ... L&M informed me that they were the only distributors for Mesa in Canada and TBH I've never seen another guitar store carrying them (in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver admittedly). Claimed they couldn't negotiate prices either. Now that I found out otherwise ... I'm kind of pissed off.
