monster rock cable: yes or not ?

Re: monster rock cable: yes or not ?

Indeed, proper coiling of cables prolong the life of them indefinitely. Makes me mad when seeing people bunch them up in a messy loop or wrap them round their elbow in a spiral, instead of the "over and under alternating loop" format.

Exactly. I use the over and under format for mine, but some, like a George L's 15 footer, won't coil right at all. It isn't very flexible, although it is a good cable. I don't use it as much as the other cables I have for that reason. The stiffness also contributes to the fact that it tangles easily. My Planet Waves Circuit Breaker cable is wonderful, and I have been using it for 15+ years.

Re: monster rock cable: yes or not ?

15+ years?! Wow I got a bit of catching up to do with my Mogami's, been using them for 5-6. I actually had a George L's jack to jack and I know what you mean by it being "stiff", I remember a show I played it popped out by itself of my tuner and my signal was lost for a brief moment, I quickly figured out what happened and pushed it back in. Wireless all the way now!

Re: monster rock cable: yes or not ?

I don't use Monster because I've had enough of them break on me. I know they have a lifetime warranty, but so do many cables.

I prefer Planet Waves for beat-em-up regular use and Mogami for good stuff.

Re: monster rock cable: yes or not ?

when i look for what the mogami have: low capacitance of

the price is a little bit high for a cable

there is sommer cable (very good), cordial, gibson cables

planet waves no: the american stage model has high capacitance: 93pF/m
the circuit breaker i had was broken in some years
so, never again
